## What Opsler does for a septic business

Opsler runs the administrative half of a septic operation: the customer and the property with
its access notes, the recurring pump-out, the dispatch board, the field record, the estimate
and the invoice. One job record carries the work from the phone call to the payment.

## COMPLIANCE POSITION

**Opsler makes NO regulatory claim for septic work.** Septic requirements are set locally and
vary by county and state. There are no disposal manifests, no jurisdiction inspection forms,
no permit tracking, no code rules and no regulatory reporting. Whatever a regulator requires,
assume Opsler does not produce it and keep using whatever satisfies it today. This is stated
once on the page, in the "Inspection forms, permits and compliance records" section.

## Verified capability

- Customer and property records with access notes — where the tank is, how deep the lid is
  buried, which gate, the dog, who holds the key. One service address per customer record.
- Full service history per property, newest first, searchable by customer, and exportable.
- Recurring pump-out reminders as scheduled jobs (Pro). Monthly with an interval, or yearly;
  ending never, after N visits, or on a date. A three-year cycle is monthly with an interval
  of 36. Generated on a rolling 30-day horizon; each occurrence is editable on its own.
- Scheduling and driver assignment on a drag-and-drop board, fixed or flexible jobs, priority
  for backups and emergency callouts.
- Field notes, photographs and a per-visit checklist recording who completed each item and
  when. Required items carry a red asterisk as a prompt, not a lock.
- Customer signature, typed or drawn, with signer and timestamp.
- Estimates for repairs and replacements built on site from the tenant's price book, single
  price or three tiers, approved with a one-time code sent by email plus a signature. What is
  recorded is who approved, which option, when and how they signed.
- Invoices and payment recording from the completed job, including partial payments and a
  staged reminder sequence. Payment is recorded, not processed: invoices can carry the
  business's own payment handles, admin-locked QR codes, or a payment link from the processor
  it already uses. Opsler takes no percentage of the ticket.
- Drivers use a browser-installed app on their own phone. No app-store download.

## Route optimization — exact scope

Route optimization re-sequences one driver's flexible jobs within a single day by travel time,
keeping fixed appointments anchored. It works from the map. It has no reading on how full the
truck is and does not model the disposal trip as part of the day, so load-aware routing for a
high-volume pumping round is outside its scope.

- Truck capacity and load-aware routing (see the scope note above).
- Disposal and manifest records — no site, no volume, no reconciliation, no chain of custody.
- Tank, sludge and scum measurements as structured data. Notes and checklists are text, not
  trendable data, and not a jurisdiction's inspection form.
- Permits, code compliance, regulatory reporting.
- Automatic recurring billing (Opsler processes no payments).
- Live QuickBooks or Xero sync — formatted CSV export for manual import only.

## Good fit

Septic businesses mixing pump-outs with repairs, replacements and emergency callouts, where
the constraint is administrative — forgotten intervals, access knowledge held by one person,
large repair quotes written on paper — rather than disposal paperwork or truck capacity.
